What is the curriculum?
Music Together® is founded on early childhood research.
We have specific activities designed to gently teach your child to sing on pitch and develop accurate rhythm.
We offer a nurturing, relaxed setting to keep you and your child engaged over the years through a combination of musical repetition and variety.
Your child is just having fun, socializing, and bonding with you or their caregiver — not pressured to perform.
What is the class structure?
Each 45-minute class includes singing, movement, and instrument play.
Adults participate fully while children absorb the music naturally.
We always begin with the Hello Song and close with the Goodbye Song to create a sense of safety and routine.
In between, activities vary to stimulate learning—dancing, finger play, and playing instruments like shakers and bells.
Are the classes beneficial to my child's self-esteem?
Yes! Music Together helps nurture self-esteem through:
Improvisation
Socializing
Learning to self-soothe through music
Supporting language development and more
Should my child participate in class?
They do not have to participate! Children learn by watching and absorbing what adults do in class and at home.
Do adults participate in class?
Yes! Adult participation is key. You are your child’s most important musical role model.
Do I need to know how to sing on pitch?
No! We welcome all voices and celebrate the joy of music, not perfection.
What if my child is shy and wants to observe?
Wonderful! Observing is part of learning — they’re taking in just as much as those who move and sing.
What if my child needs to wander?
Also wonderful! Wandering is normal for toddlers who are learning to walk.
Please stay with your wandering child for the entire class.
Older toddlers can be gently guided not to run for safety, but we know learning takes time.
Will my child do anything musical in class or at home?
Children often show what they’ve learned at home more than in class—it’s a gentle process that unfolds naturally.
What about the lovely music played in class—can I listen to it at home?
Yes! Four times a year you get a new illustrated songbook with a code to stream the music via the Music Together® App.

Do I play the music at home?
Yes! Singing, dancing, and listening at home supports your child’s musical development and deepens their connection to class.
Does the music really change every semester?
Yes! Every semester for three years your child receives a new songbook, streaming code, and CD with new music and activities.

Can I enroll after a session has begun?
Yes! We offer prorated tuition for missed classes (excluding the $46 materials fee).
You can also schedule extra classes while enrolled.
What if I have to miss a class?
We offer unlimited makeups exclusively for enrolled families.
